On Thursday, Democratic Minnesota Senator Al Franken was hit with a sexual assault allegation by a former Playboy model. Unsurprisingly, the liberal hosts of “The View” tried to blame this on Donald Trump, since they didn’t want to attack a Democrat. Conservative cohost Meghan McCain, however, wasn’t having any of it.

The Daily Caller reported that it all started when Leeann Tweeden accused Franken of assaulting her during a USO entertainment tour in 2006, and shared a photo that shows Franken groping her breasts while she was sleeping.

“I certainly don’t remember the rehearsal for the skit in the same way, but I send my sincerest apologies to Leeann,” Sen. Franken said in a statement. “As to the photo, it was clearly intended to be funny but wasn’t. I shouldn’t have done it.”

Instead of going off on Franken, as they would to a Republican, “The View” hosts praised him for apologizing before Joy Behar tried to switch the conversation to talk about Trump.

“What about Trump, his people are saying that those women who accused him are liars!” Behar exclaimed.

Clearly fed up with Behar’s nonsense, an exacerbated McCain said, “oh my god, this isn’t about Trump right now though.”

“This is serious. I know her. And when you’re saying ‘what about Trump, what about Trump,’ this is about Leeann!” McCain said exasperatedly. “This is an epidemic…bipartisan, across party lines.”

Sunny Hostin jumped in to try and defend a stunned Behar, saying, “I think Joy’s point is that we’ve talked about, you know, do politicians get a pass. You know, we heard the Hollywood Access tape and his accusers, 16 of them.”

Twitter users made it clear they agree with McCain about Behar:

We’re glad to see that Joy Behar got put in her place, and we are sick of her liberal hypocrisy!
